Outside Sales Job Profile and Description

Location: Newport Beach, CA (Southern California)

An Outside Sales Representative’s job necessitates determining, generating and capturing the sales outside the organization. The main task involves taking orders of existing customers and securing prospective non-member clienteles by telephone communication or by visiting. It is essential for the Outside sale representative to provide effectively the detailed information on various products, programs or services offered by the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scheduling appointments, meeting existing customers in order to review product requires, and to determine other opportunities.
  • Designing professional demonstrations or presentations of company products or services while on-site.
  • Generating and developing non-member businesses account in order to increase revenue, through cold calling.
  • Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
  • Enhancing up to date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
  • Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
  • Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining expense accounts.
  • Performing updating and maintenance of accounts of customer including contact names and numbers for future sales.
  • Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
  • Ensuring follow-up after passing leads to managers with complete profile customer information, calls-to-action, sources, dates.

Location: Newport Beach, CA (Southern California)

Position Summary: The Web Developer’s role at Teknowlage is multifaceted. As a web developer, you are passionate, talented, and creative. The developer is expected to plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of a website project relating to technical design, development, integration, and deployment our client’s custom websites and applications. This individual will apply proven technical skills, communication skills, and knowledge of best practices to successfully implement websites and web applications.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Interpret business and functional requirements into a strong design.
  • Apply industry best practices and standards in conjunction with project requirements and design.
  • Work closely with other developers and marketing.
  • Manage time effectively with minimal supervision to accurately scope projects and ensure that projects release on-time.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements/efficiencies and drive adoption of high priority/high value improvements within the team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including ability to accurately gauge project duration, deliver on deadlines, switch rapidly between projects in a fast paced environment and manage a workload with possible conflicting priorities.
  • The ability to thrive in a demanding environment, requiring high degree of deadline-driven productivity, commitment, adaptability, communication, initiative and follow-through.
  • Very strong understanding of web development best practices, including cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and coding standards.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience with PHP, MySQL, Javascript, AJAX, HTML, XHTML, CSS
  • Ability to write efficient queries and optimize database-intensive application
  • In-depth experience developing numerous web-based applications
  • Must be able to understand and use development frameworks
  • Strong understanding of Linux is a plus
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • The ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem solving skills, adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership
  • Strong commitment to quality, architecture, and documentation
  • Must have exceptional work ethic
  • Strong portfolio which demonstrates superior understanding of current coding practices
